On the afternoon of October 18, Julien LE LAN, Consul General of France in Wuhan, and Françoise Seince, President of theÉcole Nationale Supérieure d’Art et de Design de Limoges (ENSAD Limoges), led their respective delegations to visit Jingdezhen Ceramic University (JCU). They were warmly received by Zhang Jingjing, Vice President of JCU. Ameetingwas held at the International Ceramic Art Studio on the Xianghu Campus. Hou Tiejun, Director of the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange and Dean of the School of Cultural Communication, Shao Changzong, DeputyDean of the School of Fine Arts, along with representatives from theSchoolofInternationalEducationand other relevant departments, attended the meeting.
On behalf of the university, Zhang Jingjing extended a warm welcome to the guests from the French Consulate General in Wuhan and ENSAD Limoges. She noted that ENSAD Limoges is an important partner of JCU and that the two institutions have long maintained close exchanges in art education and cultural cooperation. She expressed the hope that this visit would serve as an opportunity to facilitate and implement Sino-French cooperative education programs, build new bridges for institutional collaboration, and expand cooperation in discipline development, talent cultivation, and other areas in a broader, deeper, and more diversified manner, thereby advancing Sino-French ceramic cultural exchange.
Françoise Seince thanked the university for its warm reception and expressed a positive outlook on future cooperation between the two institutions. She stated that ENSAD Limoges and JCU share a long history of collaboration, which is both rich and valuable. Through continued cooperation and exchange, the two sides can share artistic experience and jointly promote development in teaching practice, faculty and student exchanges, and artistic research.
Julien LE LAN also expressed his appreciation for the warm hospitality and highly praised JCU’s achievements in ceramic art. He noted that Jingdezhen Ceramic University has a long and distinguished history in the field of ceramic art and embodies a strong spirit of openness. He voiced his support for the implementation of Sino-Frenchcooperative education programs between the two institutions and expressed the hope that both sides would maintain friendly communication, overcome challenges together, and jointly advance cooperative projects, thereby promoting deeper development in talent cultivation and art education.
Following themeeting, representatives of Jingdezhen Ceramic University and ENSAD Limoges held an unveiling ceremony and took a group photo.
Prior to the meeting, Julien LE LAN and his delegation, together with Françoise Seince and her delegation, visited the Jingdezhen Ceramic University Museum and the International Ceramic Art Studio.
