The projectStanding Chairproposes an economical and efficient solution for resting in public spaces. In transport-oriented environments, resting facilities are often insufficient, while people tend to regulate interpersonal distance to maintain social comfort in public settings. By designing a leaning chair that allows users to freely adjust the distance between seats, the work responds to both the physiological and psychological needs of individuals in specific public spaces.
This achievement not only showcases the outcomes of practice-oriented professional teaching, but also provides strong support for the university’s “Double First-Class” discipline development. At the same time, it enhances Jingdezhen Ceramic University’s visibility and influence in international design exchanges, further demonstrating the strength of its design education and innovation.
