Adelegation led by KOCDAR SERPIL, Vice President of Anadolu University, and Halit Yaşar, Vice President of Sakarya University, recently paid a return visit to Jingdezhen Ceramic University (JCU) to hold in-depth consultations on the concrete arrangements for jointly establishing a Joint Ceramic Laboratory. Huang Yong, Member of the Standing Committee of the University Party Committee and Vice President of JCU, met with the delegation. Representatives from the Department of Science and Technology, the Department of International Cooperation and Exchange, as well as relevant schools and research platforms, attended the meeting.
Huang Yong extended a warm welcome to the Turkish delegation and briefly introduced JCU’s history, disciplinary strengths, scientific research, faculty development, and talent cultivation. He noted that in recent years JCU has fully leveraged its distinctive strengths in ceramic-related disciplines and has entered a critical stage of accelerated development. Anadolu University and Sakarya University, he added, share a similar disciplinary focus on ceramics, and JCU hopes to take this visit as an opportunity to further deepen mutual friendship, expand cooperation across more fields and at a higher level, and accelerate the establishment of the Belt and Road Ceramic Joint Laboratory, bringing forward a number of substantive collaborative projects as soon as possible.
The Turkish representatives expressed strong agreement and shared the support plans and resources available at their respective universities. Both sides emphasized the importance of face-to-face discussions on implementation details, expressed full confidence in cooperation with Jingdezhen Ceramic University, and voiced their expectation to turn the joint laboratory from a blueprint into reality at an early date.
The two sides also agreed to establish a regular communication mechanism to speed up the operational launch of the laboratory and jointly inject new momentum into deeper China–Türkiye cooperation in ceramic science, technology, and culture.
