From September 2 to 5, at the invitation of Dong-A University and Dankook University in South Korea, Hu Yinjiao, Party Committee Standing Member and Vice President of Jingdezhen Ceramic University, led a delegation to visit the two universities.
During the visit to Dong-A University, the delegation held working meetings with University President Lee Hae-woo, Director of the Office of International AffairsPark Hyun-tae, Dean of the College of Arts andSportsWoo Jin-hee, and Confucius Institute Director Moon Cheol-joo. Both sides reviewed the history of cooperation between the two universities, affirmed the achievements of existing student and faculty exchange programs, and held the inauguration ceremony for theTang Ying Ceramic WorkshopOverseas Ceramic Culture Center.
During the meetings, the parties conducted in-depth discussions on multiple areas of cooperation, including student exchanges, faculty visits, joint construction of research laboratories, development of Confucius Institute Ceramics Classes, and broader cultural exchanges, reaching preliminary consensus on future collaboration.
During the visit to Dankook University, the delegation met with Vice President Kim Jae-il and Director of the Office of International Affairs Cho Han-seung, among other university representatives. Building on a decade of accumulated friendship and significant outcomes, both sides agreed to continue leveraging their respective strengths in the new round of collaboration, deepening practical cooperation in art education, new materials research, talent cultivation, faculty visits, and joint laboratory development. The delegation also conducted on-site inspections of Dankook University’s teaching and student facilities.
During the visit, Hu Yinjiao personally met with JCU students currently studying at the two universities, inquiring in detail about their academic and daily life, encouraging them to uphold the excellent academic spirit of JCU, actively showcase the image of Chinese youth, serve as ambassadors of cross-cultural exchange, and reminded them to stay safe and maintain their health.
This visit effectively strengthened JCU’s friendly relations with its South Korean partners and laid a solid foundation for expanding the scope and level of future cooperation.
