On the morning of May 28th, Professor Ingrid Lilligren from Iowa State University's Department of Art and Visual Culture visited JCU with her delegation. They were received by Professor Lyu Pinchang, Deputy Secretary and Acting President, at the reception room of JCU Xianghu Campus, along with officials from the International School (Office of International Cooperation and Exchange).
During the meeting, Professor Lyu extended a warm welcome to Professor Lilligren and her delegation. He noted the longstanding cooperation between Jingdezhen Ceramic University and Iowa State University, expressing hopes to strengthen exchanges and collaboration in talent cultivation, design, and arts, facilitating student exchanges and communication between the two universities, and jointly cultivating high-caliber talent.
Professor Lilligren acknowledged Iowa State University's comprehensive range of disciplines and praised Jingdezhen Ceramic University for its long history and distinctive characteristics in ceramic education, which have nurtured numerous outstanding talents in the ceramic field. She emphasized the wish to better understand the educational model of JCU, hoping to enhance communication and provide a platform for student and faculty exchanges between the two institutions. She emphasized the importance of international cooperation for achieving high-quality development together.
